Why T4T does it?
Community based forestry is acknowledged as one of the key strategies in promoting sustainable forest management and in reducing poverty in rural areas particularly in developing countries. When forestry is implemented in partnership with communities it can raise standards of living and contribute to positive development.
The companies and individuals involved in the establishment and development of the Trees4Trees™ Foundation believe in the benefits associated with tree planting and education to create assests and provide benefits for local peoples, whilst improving the environment and producing high value timber resource for sustainable utilization in business.
The Trees4Trees™ program is about developing assets, knowledge and skills to meet the needs of people as well as about growing trees through good forest management.
